I like the fact that three of us will be wearing outsize sunglasses and two of us fancy boots. The trench coat attracted me because I saw some beautiful examples in Tokyo in the (northern) spring this year, often worn over stiffened A-Line skirts so they flared out. Not really evening wear, I suppose, but then I did come of fashion age in the early 90s.
