A couple of things, actually.
- Can you recommend me a good sunscreen? I have been using Natio products for the past month, and I really like them. They are relatively cheap, but feel much more expensive. (I got a cleanser, mask and mousturiser in Life Pharmacy’s 20% off sale for $45 and a free gift.) Plus my skin looks and feels lovely. But the problem is, hardly any of their day creams have sunscreen. One does, but it is only SPF 15. My “porcelain skin” (thanks Jo!) requires higher protection than that. So. What do you use? Bearing in mind, it needs to be high SPF (30+), light enough to wear over moisturiser, but also good under foundation (and primer). And not to expensive, because in summer, I go through A LOT. Am I asking the earth?
- What do you use for dry lips? I have horribly dry lips at the moment, due, I think to the change in seasons. I got this, but it’s not great. What do you guys recommend?
- Have you got your tickets to this yet? If not, why not?

For dry lips, Mary Kay does a good (but not cheap) balm. I tend to put lip balm on thickly at night before going to bed (because I am sadly a mouth-breather), rather than during the day, when it tastes bitter.
Alternatively, lip balm under lip gloss or mixed with lipstick also works well for me.

I really dig on the Natural one in the chapstick range – it’s all shea butter and stuff. Actually, I really dig on the non-natural chapstick too.

I use Clinique Super City Block (or something like that). It’s like spf 45 and kept me white in Hawaii two years ago. I have just run out though, so am kinda thinking of trying something else… But it’s good.
Also, Hadyn’s mum gave me good advice for dry lips – put on lip balm just before you go to bed. It seems to help.

I use a neutrogena SPF 70 sunscreen: http://www.neutrogena.com/econsumer/ntg/productdetail.browse?segment=women&catId=3&subCatId=9&productId=329&target=/products/sun/ultra-sheer-dry-touch-sunblock-spf-55-&-70.jsp It’s brilliant.
And I make my own purely natural lip balm… want me to make some for you?

I don’t really care about your skin care but THANK YOU for making A LOT two words. Proves, once again, you are not a retard. Like some people.

I also used the Nutrogena 70+ at home. No face sunblock has ever worked for me so I have to use actual sunblock. The Nutrogena one is especially good as it has a matte finish so isn’t oily like sunblocks usually are.
FOr lips – ELizabeth Ardern 8 Hour Cream. It is the wonder balm. Not cheap but lasts literally years. I also put it on at night.
I didn’t log into the other link so no.
Emily – if I have a pet hate (yes Megan, I know I have more than one) it is the merging of words. ‘alot’ is a prime example. Also ‘longterm’.

i second the Clinque super-city block call – it stopped my freckles from joining hands in SE Asia. And I rate Lucas’s Pawpaw for dry lips. Cheap as chips too.
